Whether you're seeking to overcome personal challenges, strengthen relationships, or find clarity in your life’s direction, my goal is to help you unlock your potential and cultivate the life you desire. Together, we will navigate the complexities of your experiences and work toward meaningful change. Let’s ride the waves of transformation and discover the hope that lies ahead.

Adults

I offer individual therapy for adults focusing onneuroception, cognition, mindfulness, acceptance and solutions. I utilize many theories and techniques for personalized care. I believe you are the expert of you and ultimately will know what works for you far better than anyone else can. We can find the right path together.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy can be for all ages and it does help even adults. Child Centered Play Therapy is for children ages 4-12. This is where children lead the play and use play as the language in which they express their worries, needs and even success.Facilitating flexibility, problem solving, self efficacy, autonomy, and creativity are just a few of the things we work on while we play.

Parenting

Parenting is an important part of play therapy and is an important part of the journey. Throughout the play therapy experience we will engage in parent consultations Parent sessions are for parents only and are for communicating concerns, psycho-education and learning skills to encourage success for all. The Child Parent Relationship is the best tool we can work with.

Safe and Sound Protocol

In the focus of Interpersonal Neurobiology and polyvagal theory we know that regulating our central nervous system is a large part of being able to deal with life and recover from circumstances, small and large. A nervous system can get stuck in a fight or flight or other stressed state and effect our behaviors thoughts and ability to cope. The Safe and Sound Protocol utilizes Sound through filtered music to stimulate our inner ear and Vegas nerve to remember what it feels like to feel safe and socially connected. It is kind of like rebooting the nervous system for safety and connection. Appropriate for children and adults age 4 and up.

About Me

As a visually impaired and neurodivergent person myself, I enjoy helping others with similar issues and differences navigate through the world. I believe this also gives me perspective and awareness that I consider a great asset to my practice. I enjoy supporting children to get started on a path of self-efficacy and self-worth no matter what they may encounter. Adults also need an opportunity to find themselves and the skills they may not have gotten before. All dogs can learn new tricks.

I am currently an adjunct professor at Flagler College in Behavioral Sciences, teaching Abnormal Psychology and Behavior Modification.

I also have a background as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Most of my work is with rescue and shelter animals and their families. I am a positive reinforcement trainer. I was privileged to work with Pets for Vets in assisting veterans finding canine companions.

Life isn't all work as I also enjoy the outdoors, kayaking, scuba diving, hiking, along with listening to a good book. Spending time with my daughters and husband are my favorite moments
