As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, I aim to early identify and help children and adolescents overcome their mental health challenges. My philosophy of care is to provide a unique and empathetic assessment of my patient and their family members to find and implement the best recommendations for a greater chance of recovery from mental health conditions.
As an experienced psychiatrist, it is my goal to provide support and treatment through psychotherapy and medication management for various mental health disorders such as: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), Adjustment Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), etc.
In cases where medication management is indicated, I will discuss in detail the benefits and risks of any evidence-based treatment plan. The ages seen are from 4 to 24.
I did my General Psychiatry residency in Miami at Larkin Community Hospital affiliated with Nova Southeastern University and my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship training at University of Virginia (UVA). Before becoming the owner and Chief Medical Officer for Summit Pediatric Psychiatry, I provided mental health services inpatient and outpatient for Baptist Behavioral Health and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. I am a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Florida Psychiatric Society and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
I have found Saint Augustine to be the perfect location to raise our family. I enjoy spending time with my family on outdoor activities, boating and watching my sons play soccer.
