I am a licensed mental health counselor who began my work with clients in 2013. I hold a masters degree in mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University and specialize in supporting young adults, college students, young professionals, and older adults with managing the stressors that come along with each of life's stages. My background and training are diverse and include topics such as life skills, healthy communication, stress management, relationship struggles, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, and behavior change.
The interventions I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential Work, Client-Centered Therapy, Anger Management strategies, Holistic methods, and other approaches as needed. My personal and professional experience have helped me to understand the challenges associated with parenting, grief, systemic barriers, relationship conflict, and the influence of cultural and religious factors on mental health. My personality is warm, friendly, accepting, honest, curious, and knowledgeable. I am a life-long resident of St. Augustine who enjoys travel, time with family, and snuggling with my dog, Finn, who you might meet during virtual sessions.
The insurance plans I accept include Aetna, Cigna, UHC, UMR, UHC Student Resources, Oxford, Oscar, along with Optum Emotional Wellbeing Solution and Live and Work Well EAPs. I offer varying in person or virtual availability for appointments Monday through Thursday.
