I have embraced Counseling for over 25 years by the Grace of God. I received a BA in Human Resource Management with a Certificate in Counseling from the University of St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, New York. My experience with therapeutic communities, families and children includes being a Consultant for DayTop Village and a Counselor for Crossings Rehabilitation Center. These organizations focused on substance abuse and family discord.
In 2019, God put me in another direction, Grief Coaching. I received my Certification in Grief Coaching from the International Coaching Foundation, entitled From Grief to Gratitude. Studying the stages of the grieving process and working with others experiencing the dramatic changes in life, has enhanced my ability to help others through a journey I myself had to experience in May of 2016. My husband of 46 years was suddenly gone, having a massive heart attack. This rocked my world as he was my world. Experiencing the loss of my spouse brought my skills to a new level. I understand that grief is a very personal journey for everyone. I use the individuals’ circumstances to bring about self-awareness, reduce the stress they are experiencing and increase emotional well-being. Grief is a frequently arduous and often-painful process of moving through many different and difficult parts of our lives.
My compassion and empathy have also been honed by being a very blessed and active mother of three and grandmother of seven. I look forward to speaking with you and begin a journey of healing and finding the joy of living again.
